Chicken of the Woods fungi
I was out for a drive burning up some of my $4.00 per gallon gas late yesterday afternoon when I spotted this fungi growing on a maple tree in a pasture. The color was really bright so I crawled under the electric fence that was around the pasture and took some photos of it. Hope you like it too. It is called Chicken of the Woods I guess.
Interesting fungus...I can see why it caught your eye, as it's very orange. Yes, driving around is costly these days.

It looks like orange foilage, nice capture.
I have never seen anything like that around here, I'm guess it's probably due to our dry weather.
