Great deal on the CF cards, my Canon uses CF's also. I'll have to check the specs and see if my camera can handle 8GB's..,I KNOW I can fill these up, I take loads of snaps. I just bought a ultra compact P&S to keep handy (in my purse), I don't always carry my gear and I worry about it sitting in my trunk (i.e., will someone break into and steal my baby, is it too hot in there for electronics..,and you need special permission to bring cameras into BCI..,too much worrying)

Sick? What sickness?? We're all normal here, everyone else is sick...! Just remember that the high speed versions of memory cards get written to quicker than normal cards. Important if you shoot in continuous mode like I do when the young fella is playing cricket. I use the sequences so he can look at his bowling actions. Slow cards let the buffer fill up before they transfer to the card and then shots get missed. Usually the important ones!

I didn't mention it before, but the 8GB cards I purchased are by Transcend and are 120x speed.

I just bought a 2 gig CF card from Tiger direct for $14. That also was a Transends. I have a couple of them now. I think "normal" has many shades, and textures.

Although I carry a couple of cards with me, on long trips I download to an Epson P 2000 hard drive each day. 40 GB holds a lot of JPEGs and the decent size screen enables early discard of less than satisfactory shots. Don't forget to take the charger cable though !
