Troubleshooting
I was out of town since last Thursday..,
Am back today and see that we are still having trouble uploading photos.
This is probably due to some of the upgrades we now have.
Cory King, our webhost, is in the troubleshooting process.

Our "Not-So-Large" but Very Happy Family!!!
We left NJ and moved to Hollywood, Florida. Dad was offered a good job at the Old Heidelberg, a restaurant w/ floor show. He also worked in a spa on Miami Beach as entertainment director. Then he went into semi-retirement only doing club dates.
Mom worked off and on just to stay busy. She also spent a lot of time with watercolors turning out some gorgeous artwork which we 3 kids ever-so-proudly display in our homes. Mom has been in a nursing home for almost 8 years with Alzheimers'. Dad who is 86 goes there 3 times a day, EVERY SINGLE DAY and feeds her all her meals. I know he brightens a lot of lives at the home. He is always singing and telling jokes.
I moved to the Bahamas (Freeport) in 1977, got married and lived there for 10 years. Both of my children were born there. They were born in a hospital (only one there) where it wasn't strange to see a curly-tailed lizzard in your room or an army of ants enticed there by the scent of chicken-in-the-bag brought in by my roommate's family. That's o.k. because they also brought bush medicine in an old glass jar that tasted like poison but made my stomach feel better.
I left that slow-paced paradise in 1986, got divorced and have been in Hollywood ever since.
I've got 2 great kids, Shona (28) and Albert (21). I am also a very, very proud (& young) grandmother of 4 year old Savannah (Shona's daughter). I also have 7 cats (almost 8) which I rescued.
I love hot tea - my best friend of almost 30 years is English. And I love chocolate and I love to dance. I don't cook very often - I leave that to my brothers.
I have a passion for piano music - specifically classical. My dearest Aunt Bertie was a concert pianist. I am thrilled to say my son has the same passion and plays beautifully. My dream is to some day take lessons and learn to play.

Family Album (my Bio-blurb;) Meet my family
Due to technical difficulties with a scanner, I am only posting a small amount of photos for the bio-blurb.
Both of my parents are from small towns in Chihuahua Mexico. Ignacio & Antonia (my parents) met in 1952 at a dance and it was magic.
As soon as he swept her off her feet, my dad left his sweetheart to come to America via the Bracero program to earn & save-up. He went to central California picked cotton, fruit or vegetables.
He returned home in the winter of 1954 & married the shy Antonia. They settled in & soon they had their first baby & my big brother, Guadalupe. By 1957, my dad talked my mother into immigrating to the USA. They were expecting their 2nd child (me) when they came & settled in Los Angeles, Ca. In no time, they had three more boys; Enrique, Ignacio Jr & Diego. I was/am the only girl. Me, Nacho & Diego circa 1961 The Franco kids circa 1962
I grew up in a democratic home, my brothers & voted on everything (it was always 4/1)..,you may have guessed that I was always the on the losing end of this balloting process. I never had a chance watching what I wanted on the one and only TV we had. Though, today I can hold conversations with any man on the Rifleman, Bonanza, Monster movies, war or westerns, you get the idea.
In the summer of 1999, my parents decided to join me on my 2nd trip to Europe, it was their first real vacation. We had a blast in Rome, Venice & Florence while in Italy, then an even better time in Madrid, Cordoba, Toledo, Asturias, Granada & the island of Mallorca (My Spanish friends took very good care of us).
Both of them spoke of their trip with great fondness, which has pleased me immensely.
My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec 26, 2004. Unfortunately, my mother passed in Aug 2005 (3/years after a massive stroke).
Big brother & parents in 2003
She remained shy throughout her life, but she welcomed everyone into her home and into her heart. She loved everyone and she was loved back by everyone. Her Memorial was beautiful, she was showered with love, respect & flowers. I am fortunate that we cherished each other in life, no regrets that I didn’t say ‘I love you’ enough. We were best friends.
She left her children a beautiful legacy to try to emulate.

Photos: Pictures that Lie
A picture is worth a thousand words, unless of course, it is a fake
one. "Pictures that Lie", a cool segment by Cnet,, exposes examples of
media photographs that have been doctored, altered, or otherwise
manipulated before being publicly released.
Scroll through the gallery of images and you will find shocking examples of
doctored photos. Highlights include an image from Reuters of Beirut where
the smoke from bombs had been 'darkened and increased', a photo of Katie
Couric that had 'slimmed her down', and touch-ups by Newsweek, National
Geographic, and other popular magazines.
