For a color of a pixel is activated in an LCD monitor, a current runs through the crystals to change its state and produce a color. The response time is the amount of time that the crystals in the panel take for them to move to a state in a down state. The response time is increased the amount of time it takes for the crystals on, and the fall time is the time it takes for the crystals to move to a state outside of the state. The rise time tends to be very fast in the LCD monitors, but the decay time is usually slower, causing a blur live moving images on a black background. The smaller the time reseponse, smaller the blur on the monitor. Today, response times also refer to the classification of gray to gray which produces a lower speed than the traditional response time.
LCD monitors produce the image through a film with a stream running through the pixels. This active current shades of color in each pixel. The problem with movies is that LCD colors are displayed accurately only when viewed from the front screen. When the viewer is looking from a perpendicular angle, the colors tend to look washed. The quality of LCD monitors is evaluated according to their viewing angles vertically and horizontally. The qualification is done in degrees, using the arc of a semicircle with its center perpendicular to the LCD. A 180-degree viewing angle means that the LCD monitor is viewable from any angle in front of the screen. Superior viewing angles are generally preferred lower angles.
LCD monitors can only display a single resolution, called native resolution. The native resolution is the physical number of horizontal and vertical pixels matrix LCD screen is composed of. When a computer with LCD display is set to a lower resolution than the native resolution, the monitor uses only one viewable area or need to do extrapolation. The extrapolation is that several pixels are blended out with an image similar to what is displayed if the monitor were to display it on the given resolution. However, this can result in blurred image quality. Some common native resolutions are 1024 × 768 for 14-15 "monitors and 1920 × 1200 for 24" widescreen monitors.
What makes LCD monitors different from the traditional CRT monitors is that the actual dimensions of the screen are used LCD monitors on the market. This is the area that can show the screen from the top of the bottom of the screen. The aspect ratio of the screen is one of the most confusing parts about understanding LCD monitors. Most people are used to CRT screens, which has a 4:3 ratio of the horizontal to vertical. LCDs, however, are marketed as a widescreen, which is on the diagonal. However, its aspect ratio is still very similar to the TV screen 16:9 widescreen. Make sure you look at the horizontal and vertical measures, as well as the aspect ratio of the LCD.
HiColor technology has been successfully developed for use AUO CCFL backlight to enhance color saturation by 33% compared to conventional LCD screens. After the latest trend of development in the LEDs, AUO developed HiColor using RGB LED backlighting, which can reach 105% NTSC, while providing a performance natural red, green and blue lights and enable rich, bright, vivid colors on the screen.
AUO also developed several techniques to improve LED backlighting 'image quality. For example, color management eliminates false color caused by inconsistencies between the signal and the source of light. The intensity RGB LEDs can be changed with the flexible configuration of the color temperature, without losing brightness. Other advantages of light HiColor technology includes instant mercury and lead, start at low temperature, the faster response time, and vibration and shock safety.
