Challenge: Reflections
Reflections
Our Time of Reflection Is at An End
If you have any last minute entries, get 'em in now!
Let's open up the voting as of tomorrow morning - Saturday, December 29th through Monday, December 31st - so I can post a winner by New Year's Day.
Is that OK with everyone?
You may send your votes to my BCI mail or to my personal address at sleyv66@yahoo.com
As I expected, I learned even more about photography through your beautiful entries. You have a tough decision ahead, and I'm just very glad that I will not have to be part of the selection process.
Can't wait to jump back in and be a part of the next challenge!

The palm frawn reflection was taken at Fairchild. The Vizcaya house reflection is my favorite, as it caught my eye in one of the garden pools.
Enjoy! Happy New Year All!

We did a long hike out to Snake Bite and were rewarded with disappointment. No major bird sightings. But the experience was worth the effort. Snake Bites trip
Sabino Creek Reflections
I've rotated each image 180 degrees which makes for an interesting "sky" created by the bottom of Sabino Creek.
I don't remember if I've posted a link to this before, but here is a link to a short write-up I did on Sabino Canyon, near Tucson, AZ: http://colorado.naturephotographers.net/hotspots/Arizona/Sabino_Canyon/Sabino.shtml

BCI Photo Club Miami First Field Trip to Everglades National Park
It was a neat experience to spent a day with my coworkers and their families, and together experience this unique piece of America.

No smoke, just mirrors...
I see that everyone has been busy with the challenge and there's just too many entries and other posts to go back and comment on them now. Great work people - your photos have kept my spirits lifted the last 2 weeks. For that I truly thank you all.
And thus to take my mind of things I conjured up some reflections of my own. I went for 3 very different techniques. The making of a kaliedoscope was probably the best fun of all and the clash of colour with the paint swatches (Free from the hardware shop!) brought me to title that shot with a play on the word "kaliedoscope".

Auto-Reflections
As Mima has impressively demonstrated, shiny cars and ornaments at car shows provide neat opportunities to get creative with reflections. These are a few of my favorites taken over the years. Before anyone asks - yes, they are my legs ! Just goes to show - these cars are leg-endary !

Challenge: Reflections Challenge
Snap a picture that shows an object reflecting another object. It could be a reflection on water, a mirror, or any other reflective surface. The reflection can be naturally occurring, man-made, or a studio shot. Make it humorous, dramatic, or mind-bending.
Actual photographs only - no artwork and no digital altering. Exceptions: cropping and minor lighting adjustments that are applied to the entire image.
Being really pretty new at this, I needed a simple theme, so I shopped around for ideas and liked this one. I hope it’s ok with you. Based on what I’ve seen you all do, I’m prepared to have my socks knocked off!
Happy Snapping Ya’ll !!!
