I've been very busy this month and haven't had much time to play. I had cooked up a plan for the egg challenge but I was running a 3way race between  me being in the right place at the right time, there being enough month left to get the entries in and that these eggs would hatch before the end of the month! So my plan fizzled....

I was hoping to get a photo of the chicks with some of the egg shells in the nest for the "perfectly cooked eggs" plan I had in mind. But this nest is near our office in Sydney and I am no longer down there. I went down for some training and spotted this when the mother Noisy Myna was hopping around this pot plant. The nest was just above head height so I had to guess where to point the camera...

Great sets of entries by everyone this month so I'll have to get to the vote!

Egg Drop

We were just outside Franklin, North Carolina this week when we stopped at a Gem Mine. We got filthy, covered with mud, while looking for Rubies, Emeralds, and whatever other semiprecious stones they could put in a bucket filled with NC mud. After digging through $35 worth of this muck, we found a few raw stones that for merely hundreds more, could be polished to gems valued at $10 to $20. I guess the marble eggs we saw in the store for $3.99 weren't the only ones laid that day!
