Challenge: Motion
I borrowed this idea from a presentation that Brian Folsom gave at our last photo club meeting here in Chaska.
Here are a few of the challenges he mentioned that a photographer faces when attempting to capture motion.
- Things happen fast ... and may not happen a second time soon
- The subject doesn’t always move predictably
- Lighting is often less than ideal
- - not in a studio or can’t use a flash
- - sun behind the photographer
- - low light – night, indoors, stadiums, cloudy, …
- Subject may be distant from photographer
- Zoom lenses make things more difficult
- - frame, focus, & control camera jiggle
I plan on making Brian's Power Point presentation available in the near future for those interested.
