By visiting Jerusalem who donâ € ™ t bother to plan ahead, are not only necessary, we put our feet instead of interesting, beautiful historic or surprising place.
This time we started our journey in a small hotel parking in front of Mount Zion (in Hebron road) and headed to the old city througth Hebron road. On the road entered a small museum that has a cable car that used to smuggle weapons across the valley to the mountain warriors of Zion in the days of the war of independence of Israel.
This visit raised vague memories of history classes in school and more each day and the breathtaking Views of Mount Zion.
We continue along the ancient walls of Jaffa Gate, and just before the door of a small sign leads to the promenade city walls. After paying a registration fee that is uploaded on the walls of the promenade which stretches from the Jaffa Gate, west of the entrance wall of the courtyard.
From above we see an incredible landscape walls of â € district € œYamin Mosheâ, the Armenian Quarter, the monastery Dormitzion and more.
Wandering far above the old houses in the city allows a view of the houses in small yards, and looks to the church yard with checkered tombs, wines and the decorated windows. We devote particular interest for cars to maneuver the narrow passages througth without scratching or damaging the houses nearby.
The tour ends near the west wall we went there for prayer.
From there up to "national park in the city of David", where after paying a registration fee to go into hiding for a tour inside the aqueduct of Siloam, which is carved underground and reaches the village of Silua.
(Since I didnâ € ™ t plan ahead rent waterproof sandals and lanterns in the tent of the park).
The subway ride is fascinating and humid and after an hour walk in shallow water Amerge on the floor near a pool in the village Silua. After a bit of wandering among the archaeological Diggs we go back to the old city, watched closely by dozens of security cameras.
After a long day, we step back into a paste along slow the very walls have risen above the top of our day, back to Mount Zion parking and back home € | Well, at least until next unplanned trip
